Power of Social Media

Last Friday, I attended the Trump protest rally at Boston Common. Which surprised me was that, at the very beginning of the speech, Speakman told rally to bring up the cell phone to post on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and other social media. This action emphasizes the influence of social media, emphasizes the power of social media.

With the bloom of internet, social media became the most influential medium nowadays. Every traditional media enterprising is thriving to find a way to win. One of the strategies is utilizing social media. From Obama's success, we knew how critical role social media play in political movements. And there are even books to teach non-governmental organizational and protest rallies how to deal with social media (I accidentally read one in NEU library a few weeks ago).

Alike politics, a business also need to utilize social media professionally to do marketing. But of course, politic is business as well.

More information about protest rally in Boston:

I focused too much on politic topics related to social media in the last two weeks. I will upload some relevant articles on corporation level.

However, after studying crisis communication and social media strategy, aligning with my fre...
